Whispered Ocean Hymns

Solo show “Whispered Ocean Hymns” was displayed at Lethbridge Gallery (Paddington, Brisbane) October 2018

I find that the organising principle of the way I see natural form is around the flow of space, and so in this context of sand dunes and grasses, I am intrigued by the turning away of form, and the perceived paths that lead beyond their horizons. I have come to suspect that this is compelling because it points to the bittersweet experience of walking through the landscape as the colours fade through the afternoon, exploring with footsteps delightful qualities that are constantly slipping away.
