Life Studies

Regular studies from life have been an integral part of my practise for many years. Sometimes these are simply maintaining fluency of skill and cultivating understanding of nature - anatomy and gesture and body language and so on. Sometimes they are done with the intention of developing a work from them. And sometimes a pose drawn in a session later inspires a more developed piece.

Original sketches can be purchased from me here.
